"If my words become a part of your destiny,
then I have truly had something to say in this world.
What could be greater than this –
to give honey to man and a candle to God?"

In Georgia, the number of bee colonies today is significantly lower than it was 30 years ago. Moreover, our bees utilize only about 10% of the country’s natural resources. This highlights the urgent need to develop and expand beekeeping. Beekeepers deserve greater attention and support to extract more valuable products from nature.
Beekeeping should be taught in schools for at least one semester so that more people can learn about this noble craft. I am certain that after exploring the materials presented on this website, many of you will feel inspired to acquire your own bee colonies and become part of this rewarding endeavor.
Today, many people have abandoned their villages, ancestral homes, and forested lands filled with nectar-rich plants, choosing instead to live in cities—often in rented apartments and sometimes even without stable employment. Perhaps it’s time to reconsider? If you feel uncertain about starting alone, forming a small cooperative with two or three like-minded individuals could be the ideal solution.
Beekeepers play a crucial role not only for themselves but also for the entire nation, as they care for bees—an essential force in the natural world. Plants, which are a fundamental food source for both humans and animals, rely on bees for pollination. Economically, bee products have long been valuable export commodities, while their medicinal properties make them indispensable for human health.
Most importantly, bee products are invaluable for human health and promote longevity. I believe that memorial candles should be natural, made from beeswax. Their aroma and fragrance bring a special peace and grace to the environment.
